This professional carbon dioxide leak detector has been specifically developed for detecting leaks of the refrigerant R744, or CO₂. The improved infrared photo-optical detection element offers fast and targeted leak detection in commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.

The sensitivity can be set to high, medium, or low. At the highest setting, leaks of up to 6 grams per year can be detected. The medium setting detects leaks of up to 14 grams per year, and the low setting up to 28 grams per year. The response time is one second, and the recovery time is approximately four seconds.

The leak detector operates with a rechargeable 3.7 VDC lithium-ion battery. The battery is user-replaceable and provides up to eight hours of continuous use. A separate LED lights up when approximately one hour of remaining runtime is reached. A full charge takes less than four hours.

After ten minutes of inactivity, the device automatically switches off to save energy. The sensor has a lifespan of up to ten years. The leak detector can be used at temperatures from 0 to 40 °C and a relative humidity below 75%, provided there is no condensation.
